Week 1 Players of Week
This is week awards is from the start of the season. Weeks will go Monday to Saturday going forward.
Week 1 9/8 to 9/17
A North
Forward- Vanessa Sarf Junior Manalapan - Vanessa has started the season on fire scoring 8 goals including the lone goal for Manalapan to tie Howell. She ended the week with 4 goals against Shore Regional.
Defender- Gabby Koluch Senior Freehold Twp - Gabby is the rock on the nationally ranked Freehold Twp backline. She can use her size and speed to her advantage to shut down the top scorers in the Shore.
Goalie- Madison Smith Junior Howell - Madison has been a big reason Howell is off to a great start. She started the season with three shutouts and 25 saves, six coming against ranked and division rival Manalapan that ended in a 1-1 tie.
A Central
Forward - Taylor Bielan Senior Holmdel - Taylor has helped Holmdel start the season 4-0 scoring 5 goals and having 2 assists. Taylor ended the week with the game winner in overtime against Jackson Memorial.
Defender- Kate Hennen Junior RFH - The swiss army knife for Rumson, Kate can play all over the field for them. Rumson has had a very hard schedule to start the season playing two top 10 teams. Kate has helped keep them in these games and has 1 goal on the season.
Goalie- Olivia Fazzolari Senior Trinity Hall - With the change of division, Trinity Hall will face better competition throughout the year. Olivia has been tested early this season and has racked up 33 saves already keeping her team in games.
A South
Forward - Hannah Lewis Senior Central Regional - Hannah has helped Central Regional off to a great start in A South. She had 4 goals and one assist to start the season in its opening week, including two goals to help upset #2 Toms River North.
Defender- Jordan McCullough Sophomore Brick Memorial - Jordan has done a great job entering the starting line up on the backline for the Mustangs. She was big reason they were able to take down #2 TRN and help keep Brick Memorial in the top 5 in the Shore.
Goalie- Delaine Wilkenson Senior Toms River South- Delaine is a big reason TRS is off to a good start this season. She has posted 2 shutouts and has 34 saves in the first 10 days of the season.
B North
Forward- Carolyn McCallion Junior RBR - Carolyn has helped RBR start the season undefeated. She has 4 goals and 3 assists, scoring a goal in every game so far to start the season.
Defender- Rylie Rampone Junior Manasquan - Rylie has helped the Warriors get off to a solid start. Not only does she anchor the backline she has scored 2 goals and is key to Manasquan's attack on corners and free kicks.
Goalie - Katie Webb Senior SJV - Katie has helped SJV upset two top 10 teams in the first week to lead SJV into the rankings. She has two shutouts and over 20 saves on the season.
B Central
Forward- Gabby Kirchner Sophomore Point Beach - Gabby is off to a hot start for Point Beach. She has 5 goals and 5 assists to start the season.
Defender- Sofia Gialanella Senior St. Rose - Sofia has led the backline since her sophomore year and has helped give St. Rose 2 shutouts to start the season.
Goalie- Isabelle Levy Junior St. Rose - Up and down start for St Rose. They either get shutout or have a shutout. Izzy had 2 shutouts last week and 35 saves, including 16 against Wall.
B South
Forward- Madison Cubbison Freshman Manchester - Madison has helped Manchester off to a great start. She has scored 6 goals and has one assist on the season to lead Manchester to 3-1 record.
Defender- Annabella Ryan Senior Point Boro- Annabella is one of the leaders for the Panthers and their tough defense. She was a key factor in upsetting Lacey to start the season and help Point Boro get off to a 4-0 start.
Goalie - Camryn Wiese Senior Jackson Liberty - Camryn had 2 shutouts and 48 saves in the first week of the season to lead Lions to a 4-1 start. Liberty's only loss came when Camryn was injured in the opening minutes of the game.
